Minnesota meeting (and of course riding) went very well, with the usual amount of joy and jesting liberally mixed with actually useful plans:

So we should be having a pretty interesting trip... particularly if the parents get drunk again, its always so amusing watching watching them do things that they'd yell at us for trying if they were sober (such as landing flaming balls of newspaper on top of the Tripps' house).

The past 2 weeks or so nearly sent me careening over the edge of a cliff on the back of a rampaging elephant, but I was very luckily saved by my dear horse team; I honestly don't know what I'd do if I didn't have them and their wonderful words of humor and love. Often I feel that there are people I love so dearly who don't particularly care about me, which obviously is no fun (though I'm sure it must be common). And though that has really been getting me down lately, just spending some time up at heifer with such beautiful people is so very healing.
